Internships at Cervitude IR are 10 weeks and are available during the Summer, Spring and Fall. The internship program takes students through many of the services delivered to our clients. The 10 week program follows this current outline:
Week 1: Business Planning & Consulting
- Introduction to Cervitude™ Intelligent Relations Consulting
- Attend client meetings to observe business planning and consulting processes
- Research and gather data for a business plan
- Draft a sample business plan
Week 2: Search Engine Optimization & Blog Posting
- Learn the basics of SEO and content marketing
- Conduct keyword research and analyze competitors’ websites
- Write blog posts and optimize them for search engines
- Analyze website traffic and make recommendations for improvement
Week 3: Investor Relations
- Learn the basics of investor relations and the stock market
- Assist with the preparation of earnings releases and investor presentations
- Conduct research on target investors and analysts
- Participate in investor meetings and calls
Week 4: Writing a Press Release
- Learn the structure and purpose of press releases
- Research and gather information for a press release
- Write a press release and obtain feedback from mentors
- Distribute the press release to relevant media outlets
Week 5: Social Media Content Creation
- Learn the principles of effective social media marketing
- Create social media content for various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Analyze the performance of social media campaigns
- Make recommendations for improving social media engagement
Week 6: Trademark Filing
- Learn the basics of intellectual property law and trademarks
- Conduct a trademark search and analysis
- Assist with the preparation and filing of a trademark application
- Track the progress of the trademark application and respond to any inquiries from the USPTO
Week 7: Stock Analysis Report
- Learn the fundamentals of equity research and stock analysis
- Analyze financial statements and key performance indicators for a public company
- Write a stock analysis report and present findings to mentors
- Discuss the implications of the analysis for the company’s stock price and future prospects
Week 8: Pitch Deck Development
- Learn the principles of effective pitch deck design and delivery
- Review sample pitch decks and analyze their strengths and weaknesses
- Assist with the preparation of a pitch deck for a client
- Present the pitch deck to mentors and receive feedback
Week 9: E-commerce & Social Media Consulting
- Learn the basics of e-commerce and social media marketing for businesses
- Research and analyze trends in e-commerce and social media marketing
- Develop a social media strategy for a client
- Make recommendations for improving a client’s e-commerce & social media performance
Week 10: Final Project
- Work on a final project that incorporates skills and knowledge learned throughout the internship
- Present the final project to mentors and receive feedback
- Participate in a final evaluation and debriefing session with the internship coordinator
