Also known as pitch decks, an investor presentation is a critical part of fundraising.
Investor Presentations, technically, are formulated in a Power Point presentation and saved as a PDF for presenting in front of an audience. Investor Presentations allows the viewer to get enough of a glimpse into the company to understand the value proposition. Thus, an investor presentation will give enough information for a potential investor to make an educated decision; or at least ask for more information about the company. The investor presentation is usually followed by a business plan or some sort of investor document (like a private placement memorandum or offering document). While each investor presentation or pitch deck is different, many have the same core pages to assure that every important topic for an investor is covered. Generally speaking, the investor presentation or slide show should have 10 slides and no more than 15 slides. The 10 slides most common to an investor presentation include:
- You Company Name and Company Tagline (Slogan)
- Problem & Opportunity
- Value Proposition
- Underlying Magic (what makes you different)
- Business Model
- Go to Market Plan (this includes your marketing channels)
- Competitive Analysis
- Management Team
- Financial Projections and Key Metrics
- Current Status, Traction & Use of Funds (The Ask)
While there are other models to follow for investor presentations, they are mostly visual, with many pictures or graphics and have larger font so the reader gets the idea quickly. Do you need a professional investor presentation developed? Contact us now:
